Weeks 35 & 36

Week 35- Baby Garbo is over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew). His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Week 36- Romney and Craig visited the Dr. this week and learned that Baby is in the head-down postion. Good baby! We had a little bit of a scare at the Dr.'s appt because Romneys tummy is no longer growing "out" and Dr. was concerned that Baby was going to be a little on the small side. After three ultra-sounds, we learned that Baby is already 7.2 pounds and has a full head of hair. The Dr. is no longer worried about Baby being small. Romney is getting worried about Baby getting too big! If the Baby continues to gain about an ounce a day we could be looking at a nine pounder by the time Baby is born--oh my! Next week, baby will be considered full-term. Romney just hopes the baby stays put long enough to enjoy her Baby Shower. Grandma Gayle has been known to send Mommies into labor before the baby shower. Stay tuned.
